Where is the Medical Centre located and what are its operating hours?
Weston Medical Centre is located at 49 Station Street Weston. The Weston bus stop of the Cessnock – Maitland bus route is within 10 metres of the practice if you are using public transport. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6pm. Saturday 8.30am to 1.00pm. The Medical Centre will be closed on Sundays and Public holidays.
Do you offer after hour service?
When the Surgery is closed and you require a Doctor to come to your home, you can call the clinic on (02) 4936 2533 and select option 1. This is a bulk billed service.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency please call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Is Bulk billing available?
Bulk billing will be available to eligible patients. You may obtain more information at the reception. The following are some of consultations types that will not be bulk billed:
* WorkCover consultations
* Private Medical Examinations
* Cosmetic consultations and procedures
* Travel Medical consultations
Is there disability access?
Yes. The practice is built with wheelchair access.
How can I make an appointment or cancel an appointment?
You can make an appointment by calling us or you can book your appointment online. If you are unable to attend an appointment, please ring the medical centre, if possible, well in advance, so that another patient can be offered that appointment.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring your medicare card, identity card and insurance cards. Also you would like to bring any surgery reports or diagnostic test results (such as x-ray, MRI) if you have them available to you. If you are covered by Worker’s Compensation, bring your Claim number and Case Manager’s information.
What do I do if there is an emergency?
In an emergency or life threatening situation, please call 000 for an ambulance or visit your nearest hospital.
